Chile and the world are in a process of significant and critical energy transformation. The use of renewable energies are becoming more massive and costs have been drastically reduced. Due to this, new technological challenges have appeared for all market players (end users, generators, distributors, researchers, etc.) and this is generating new opportunities that require comprehensive and interdisciplinary solutions. Chile is a key player in this new scenario and this event will bring together Chilean and European agents to tackle these challenges

According to the latest report from the international consultancy EY on the forty countries with the best opportunities in the development of renewable energies in the world, Chile is the leader in Latin America and the sixth country in the world.

The vision of the Chilean National Energy Policy, aims to meet certain objectives in 2050. To achieve them, we must work in challenges such as:

  • Flexibility of electrical power systems, at central and distributed level.
  • Development of competitive energy storage systems that maximize the use of local resources (lithium, copper, mineral salts, etc.)
  • Integration and use of enabling technologies to promote efficient energy consumption (IoT, Big Data, etc.)
  • Massive and low emissions technologies to meet the population's heating needs.

This infographic reflects some of the perspectives of the Chilean energy sector.

The event will be coordinated with the Exhibition and Conference of Renewable Energies, ExpoERNC 2017. This exhibition constitutes a great business opportunity for those companies of the renewable energy industry that want to invest in Chile. Location and date of the event: 24th-26th October at Hotel W, Santiago (Chile).
